Along the river you can explore the history of Bamberg from a delightful point of view. At 21 tablets with short texts (in German) and historical illustrations describe well known and hidden places along the waterfront. The river trail explains the work of fishermen, the function of mills and the reason, why iron cranes stand at the canal. At each site a comic figure of Kunigunde asks a question, which can be solved by children and their parents together. Children's imagination is also captured by the children's river guide and an adventure rucksack - a fascinating history experience for the whole family. The river trail is suitable for baby buggies.
