Villa Concordia, a baroque palace on the banks of the River Regnitz, is an International Artists' House. Every year, six German and six foreign artists from the fields of literature, fine art and music are selected and awarded a scholarship to live and work in Bamberg for the period of one year. This initiative and institution belonging to the Free State of Bavaria is designed to foster closer relationships with other states and to promote cultural life in Bamberg. The house also stages author readings, exhibitions and concerts. |
