In the early 17th century, the Jesuits made and presented the first nativity scene in Bamberg. This marked the beginning of a centuries-old tradition that has continued to the present day. During Advent the nativity trail invites you to explore up to 400 nativity scenes in churches, museums and various squares. The tour embraces around 40 stops.
