The tombs of saints, relics of Jesus Christ, endless other relics in the Cathedral's treasure chamber and its location along the Pilgrim's Way of St Jacob are just some of the reasons why Bamberg became a destination for pilgrims as early as the Middle Ages. The guided tour puts you in touch with this deep sense of devoutness and lived prayer, which is reflected in the city's splendid churches, votive pictures, relics and crypts.
