For many years now, the former summer residence of Bamberg's prince bishops has been hosting the "Summer Serenades at Seehof Palace" chamber music festival from the end of July to the beginning of August. The ensemble in residence is the Bamberg String Quartet, which has been described by the press as "currently the best German orchestral quartet". The "Summer Serenades" take place in the inner court of Seehof Palace.
