 Bamberg's String Quartet is well-known far beyond the region. It performs in Bamberg every Sunday from May to September. The String Quartet comprises four members of the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra who have discovered their love for chamber music. Their virtuosity is revealed at the "Cloister Classics" concert series ("Klassik im Kreuzgang") where they play the most beautiful movements from the baroque, classical and romantic eras. Their art form has also convinced the jury of the BR Musikzauber Franken music awards: the spring and summer serenades at Schloss Seehof are also part of the reputed BR Musikzauber Franken music awards.
