In the ATRIUM, next to Bamberg’s train station, the puppets are dancing and prancing. All those, who enjoyed puppet theatre in their childhood, will also love this programme for adults.

Since 1945 the puppet master family Herrenleben belongs to the cultural establishment of Bamberg. Especially loved and well known all over the country for their Bamberg Punch and Judy shows, their current programme “Bamberg vorgefuehrt (a guided tour of Bamberg)” and “Bamberg auf Sendung (Bamberg on air)” has a different focus. Albert and Florian Herrnleben show their home town of Bamberg in their own very special way.
The satirical cabaret takes the audience to the sights of Bamberg, and tells the stories of traditional cultural institutions, famous people and ordinary citizens of Bamberg. Cheeky, Franconian, and sometimes frivolous, the two puppeteers present Bamberg in a different light. A great comedy for all those with a good command of German, as many of the puns and jokes are word play and allusions to Bamberg’s local history.
