Musica Canterey Bamberg is a society devoted to preserving Old Music.

Since its establishment in 1969 this society has focused on the stylistically accurate interpretation of music from the Renaissance and baroque periods.

Musica Canterey's central task is to increase awareness about the musical legacy of these illustrious eras in European history and to lend it a secure place in the concert arena.

The society is a solely non-profit-making organisation devoted to:

• The preservation and stylistically accurate interpretation of Old Music, taking account of related research
• Making this music accessible to the general public through public relations work by staging concerts, courses and lectures
• Special focus on the Franconian music world
