Many paths lead to Bamberg
If you will come to us by car, the highways A70 and A73 offer a direct connection to the German highway network. The major routes A3 Frankfurt - Nuremberg and A9 Berlin - Munich are passing by and can be reached via the A70 and A73.
They offer a fast connection to the airports in Frankfurt and Munich (both about a 2 1/2 hour drive away) as well as Nuremberg (about 50 minutes).
The German high speed rail net passes through Bamberg. The ICE high speed trains from Munich to the capital Berlin stop at Bamberg's station.
Many visitors come to the city using the comfortable river cruise ships of major tour operators.
